Choosing the Right Watch for Your Wrist

Proportion, presence and everyday wear — a practical fitting guide.

Min butik Admin· July 24, 2026

Choosing a watch is a personal decision, but there are a few practical considerations that can help narrow the field.

Case size

Watch cases are measured in millimetres across the dial. As a general guide, wrists under 16cm suit cases between 36mm and 40mm. Larger wrists carry 40mm to 44mm comfortably. The Classic Dress Blue sits at 40mm — a versatile middle ground.

Dial colour

A dark dial reads dressy and versatile. A bright or coloured dial makes a statement. If you're choosing one watch to wear daily, a sunburst blue or green offers the best of both — restrained in low light, expressive in sun.

Strap or bracelet

A leather strap dresses a watch down and ages beautifully. A steel bracelet is more durable and sporty. Many of our watches can be paired with either — the choice is yours.
